As a follow up honor to my appearance at the show at the Louvre, I had the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Artist Of The Year show in Florence Italy. This show was sponsored by the Effreto Art Foundation and featured approximately 100 artists from around the world to appear in their “Artist Of The Year Directory” and “Master Artists To Collect” publication. The painting that was featured (online) was “A New Horizon”.
Here is my latest commission.
Also, as an added honor stemming from the Louvre show, I was contacted by Artio Gallery in Toronto to participate in the “Interconnecting Lines” International Exhibition in New York City. This, as with the show at the Louvre, is a world wide art event. It runs July 8-13 2025. My painting ‘A Bridge Over Troubled Waters” will be there for the show.
Living in Minnesota, we have so much beauty right in our backyards or within driving distance and much of the scenery includes water. It's hard not to take a scenic image here that doesn’t have a lake, river, or pond as a central part of it. While not all of my paintings have had water in them and not all of my paintings are Minnesota images; most of my work is from Minnesota and does include water. Being a watercolor artist, water is always a part of my work no matter if it is depicted in the images or not.
For this reason; it is only natural to adopt the theme Water-Colors by Rick as the theme by which to identify what I do in painting. My ultimate goal is to better represent the magnificent creation all around us, and moreover… its magnificent creator.
